The two shows that I have the pleasure to present to this fifth edition of Urban Superstar continue to explore the new contemporary paintings derived from pop culture and underground , but this time along two specific directions : The City of Woman and Suggestivism - The New Horizon.

The exhibition The City of Woman dreams of redesigning the city of Cosenza , transforming it into a City of Women imaginary . The figure of the woman is at the center of these images, it is shown that the originals of the many posters hanging in the city, and the artists have taken inspiration from that very design that Andrea Pazienza created for the films of Federico Fellini .

Suggestivism - The New Horizon is the exposure that has cured for Los Angeles- Urban Superstar artist Nathan Spoor , he attracted 32 signatures of the new contemporary art that has considered ideal representatives of the latest trends of the current that arises from the imaginary underground and was long dubbed Pop Surrealism .

In both exhibitions hovers the feeling that the drawing and painting still have much to say and that imagination is the most powerful weapon to bring down any rule taken in the degree of normality . Enter the worlds imagined by those who produce art can still save us from banality , ignorance and vulgarity of a civilization that points to the accumulation material but little is dedicated to feeding the mind to enhance their own cultural and social condition.

In many we saved thanks to the art of Federico Fellini and that of Patience, like that of many other artists , and for that we will never stop thanking them.
